Customer Contact Advisor (Benefits Specialism)

Salary: £19,136 starting salary (Grade 4 - £19,136 - £22,380)
Hours: 37 per week
Location: Manby or Spalding
Contract: Permanent
Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays
Pension: Local Government CARE Pension Scheme - 19.9% employer contribution rate

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Customer Contact team and make a difference to how customers interact with their local authority, working within Public Sector Partnership Services LTD.

Benefit Specialism

  • Answer all nature of general enquiries, including providing accurate advice and guidance to customers for all claim types, fully explain entitlement, overpayments calculations and appeal rights

  • Support new customers through claim process, ensuring precise supporting evidence provided

  • Maintain and promote fraud and error awareness

  • Accurately process relevant cases over the phone in line with service guidance

Essential Requirements:  Must have previous working experience of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support legislation. Suitable applicants will have a good standard of education with Grade C or above in Maths, English & ICT: Excellent communication skills and experience of working in a customer environment. Own transport and a full driving license is essential. Successful applicants must be able to work using their initiative, be empowered to make decisions and be flexible and adaptable to service requirements and change.
